Harrisburg, November 16, 2010 — State Senator-elect Jim Brewster (D-Allegheny/Westmoreland) will be sworn in to the state Senate at the Capitol in Harrisburg on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at approximately 1 p.m.

Brewster, 62, has been the mayor of McKeesport for the last seven years and served on city council for 10 years prior to that. He was also vice president of operations at Mellon Bank for 27 years.

On Nov. 2, Brewster won a special election to finish former Senator Sean Logan’s term. Logan resigned his senate seat on August 24 for a position with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
