McKeesport’s Swin Cash Celebrated for Distinguished Career as She Announces Retirement from WNBA

McKeesport’s own Swin Cash announced earlier this year that she plans to retire from professional basketball at the end of this season.  Cash, who played at McKeesport High School, starred at the University of Connecticut and now plays for the New York Liberty of the WNBA was honored at a Madison Square Garden ceremony.

Cash, who as a member of the UConn women’s team, won two national titles.  Her career achievements also include an Olympic gold medal and multiple WNBA titles.  She is active in WNBA charitable causes and Pennsylvania-based charities.

All McKeesport and Western Pennsylvania is proud of Swin Cash and wish her the best on her retirement from professional basketball.
